Outlook Express Setup
This is a step by step example on how to setup outlook express 6 in Windows XP. Please remember that all the data here such as server name and IP addresses are example only. You have to provide the actual data which is given to you by Internet provider or from network administrator at your workplace.
1. Start Ms Outlook Express by clicking Start --> All Programs --> Outlook Express.

2. You should have a user interface similar to this:

3. On the Outlook express pane, click Tools menu. Choose Accounts...

4. On the new pane, click Add and choose Mail...

5. The Internet Connection Wizard appear. Enter your name. Click Next to continue.

6. Enter your email address. This email address usually provided by your Internet service provider or system administrator if you setup outlook in your office. Click Next after you finished.

7. Now you must provide your email server informations. Choose protocol used in your workplace (POP3, IMAP, HTTP). Enter incoming mail server and outgoing mail server. This can be a server IP address or a server name.

8. Now enter your account name and password. Check Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box if your Internet service provider requires you to use SPA to access mail account.

9. Click Finish.

10. Click Mail tab. Click Properties.

11. Enter other information in General, Servers, Connection, Security and Advanced as needed.

12. On the Advanced tab, tick on the SSL check box if your server requires a secure connection. Click Apply and OK when you finished.

13. Click Send/Recv to connect to your server.

14. Done.
